Dorothy Kim Superdock

Dorothy joined the David Lab as a postdoctoral associate in July 2023. Prior to this position, she graduated with her Ph.D in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University where her dissertation focused on the relationships between dietary intake, genetics, and gut and oral microbes. She is also a Swarthmore College alumna. In her postdoctoral research, Dorothy is combining her interests in genomics and nutrition by working on DNA metabarcoding (FoodSeq) to track human dietary intake, analyze dietary patterns, and study the impact of diet in gastrointestinal diseases. Outside of the lab, she loves to cook, write, and explore new trails.
