Michelle Kirtley

Since joining the David Lab in 2022, Michelle has directed strategic planning and communications for the lab, encompassing everything from grant writing to community outreach and strategic partnerships. A cell biologist by training, Michelle holds a B.S. in molecular biology from Princeton and a Ph.D in cell/cellular and molecular biology from MIT. She has worked at nonprofits and on Capitol Hill in the fields of health and science policy, with an emphasis on bioethics, public health, and healthcare reform; she continues to write and speak on these topics. In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and serves on the board of several nonprofits.
