Nicole Duncan

Nicole is a writer, editor, and communications consultant at the David Lab. As the resident non-scientist, she helps the team promote the lab’s groundbreaking research and translate it for more general audiences. She graduated with a degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and has worked in publishing, higher education, and advertising. She first cut her teeth in science communications at the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center (NESCent), where she published a quarterly newsletter, provided editorial guidance to resident scientists, and issued press releases. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys running and post-run coffee with friends, going on outdoor adventures, hosting themed parties, and trying to finish various creative writing projects.
