Teresa McDonald

Teresa is a Ph.D student in Duke University’s Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. Since joining the David Lab in 2019, she has studied interactions between weaning diet and the developing gut microbiome using next-generation sequencing and computational biology. Her research experience spans pre-clinical in vitro to animal model-based experiments to human studies. Teresa graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in biology and philosophy. Outside the lab, you can find her camping or hiking with her husband and toddler, or curled up with her two cats and her latest craft project.
